National School Sports League (Robot Sports)

 

The National School Sports League (Robot Sports) was established in 2013 with the approval of the Ministry of Education (JSY [2013] No.37). Since 2015, under the correct leadership of the Ministry of Education and the the direct leadership of the Department of Physical Health and Art Education, Ministry of Education; the National School Sports League Robot Working Committee (hereinafter referred to as the Working Committee) as the permanent management organization, which carries out various works in accordance with relevant provisions of <The Education Law of the People's Republic of China>, <The Teachers Law of the People's Republic of China>, <The Sports Law of the Poeple's Republic of China>, <General Competition Rules of China Quality Sports Robot Sports>, <The Articles of The National School Sports League(Robot Sports)>. By the end of 2019, the League has more than 28,000 school members, including primary schools, secondary schools, vocational colleges, colleges and universities as well as national defense colleges.

There are 13 seats in the presidium of the League, which are composed of institutions and various schools. The Council of the League has 50 executive director units and 200 director units.

Focus on the newly added robotics engineering major and AI major by the Ministry of Education, as well as the widely carried out science & technology quality education courses as robot, computer programming and AI courses in the primary and secondary schools, the League has launched various events about robot, computer programming and AI, so as to promote and test the educational achievements of related disciplines. The League integrates and optimizes the education resource of its school members, creates a robot education and computer programming education and teaching platform with intersection of multidisciplinary, and innovates robot and computer programming competition programs; therefore, a powerful force of education and cultivation is formed that linking theory with practice. With interdisciplinary of robotics, computer programming and AI as carrier, to share resource, to complement advantage, to benefit and promote mutually, to elevate integrally, to cultivate socialist builders and successors with all-round ability in areas such as morals, intelligence, physical fitness, work and aesthetics.

Following the law of education and relevant provisions of <The Education Law of the People's Republic of China>, <The Teachers Law of the People's Republic of China>, <The Sports Law of the People's Republic of China>, <General Competition Rules of China Quality Sports Robot Sports>, <About Comprehensively Strengthening and Improving School Physical Education in the New Era> and <The Overall Plan for Deepening the Reform of Education Evaluation in the New Era> by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council, <the Articles of the League>(2020 edition), on the basic 6 main work, the 7th has been added, as: project promotion, teaching reform, scientific research, event management, exchange and training, sports education fund, forum and exhibition, etc. Registered in the Department of Physical Health and Art Education, Ministry of Education, the Working Committee focus on the teaching link of "teaching, training and competition" to test the results of quality education of moral education, computer programming education, robot education, robot sports, physical education, practical education etc. that with robots as the carrier. It has formulated <National School League Evaluation System>,<National School League Examination Guide>,<National School League Credit Bank Interim Management Measure>, <Regulations of China International Youth Robot Exchange Activities Public-expense Program(Trial)>, <Regulations of China International Youth Robot Exchange Activities Self-expense Program(Interim)>, developed quality education platforms as <National School League Robotic Knowledge Base> and <National School League Computer Programming Knowledge Base>.The League strengthens the use of students’ comprehensive quality evaluation files among the member units by issuing rules, scientific education and standard management. In line with the personnel cultivation objective and professional learning needs, student’s comprehensive quality evaluation results would be used as an important reference for enrollment, so as to achieve the goal of comprehensive education reform of robot education, robot sports and physical education proposed by the Ministry of Education, striving to build a comprehensive educational system will all-round development of morals, intelligence, physical fitness, work and aesthetics.

The National School Robot Sports Meeting is held once very two year(in the even number year), and the regional and provincial sports meeting is held once very two year (in the odd number year), the municipal and prefectural level as well as the county and district level sports meeting is held once every year. Each teams participating should be selected progressively, so as to ensure that the national school robot sports meetings are held at a high level.

Functions: project promotion, teaching reform, scientific research, event management, exchange and training, forum exhibition, sports education fund.
