黑龙江八一农垦大学是黑龙江省属全日制普通高等学校，创建于1958年7月，首任校长由原国家副主席、时任农垦部部长王震将军担任。学校原隶属农垦部，1973年划归黑龙江省人民政府。经过61年的发展建设，现已成为一所具有鲜明现代化大农业特色、以农为主、多学科协调发展的农业大学。

Heilongjiang Bayi Agricultural University is a full-time general institute of high education in Heilongjiang founded in July 1958. Its first president was General Wang Zhen, former vice president of China and then Minister of Agricultural. The university was originally subordinate to the Ministry of Agricultural Reclamation, and was incorporated into Heilongjiang government in 1973. After 61 years of development and construction, it has become an agricultural university with distinctive characteristics of modern agriculture, focusing on agriculture and coordinated development of multiple disciplines.

学校诞生于十万复转官兵开发建设北大荒的历史大潮中，原校址位于密山市裴德镇北的山野乡间。边疆农村办学45年，学校师生发扬解放军优良传统和“抗大校风”，传承北大荒精神，走出了一条自强不息、砥砺奋进的发展之路。2003年学校整体迁入大庆市，进入提速升级、跨越发展的新时期。在长期的办学实践中，学校凝练形成了“艰苦奋斗、无私奉献、务实求真、负重致远”的办学精神，并因优良校风和办学实绩赢得了社会的广泛赞誉。

The university was born in the historical tide of the development and construction of the Beidahuang (northern wilderness) by 100,000 officers and soldiers. The original site of the university is located in the north of Peide town, Mishan city. Running university in the borderland for 45 years, both teachers and students have carried forward the tradition of PLA，inherited the spirit of the northern wilderness, and walked out of a road of constantly self-improvement and hard working. In 2003, the whole university moved into Daqing city, entering a new period of accelerated upgrading and leaping development.

学校现址位于大庆市高新技术产业开发区，总占地120.04万平方米，建筑面积40万平方米，固定资产总值12.59亿元，教学科研仪器设备3.08亿元，图书213.22万册。学校现有教职工1397人，其中专任教师884人，教授178人、副教授285人，其中，具有博士学位教师346人，占比39.1%;海外经历累计1年以上教师126人，占比14.3%。学校拥有“双聘院士”2人(朱蓓薇院士、陈温福院士)、“国家特殊支持计划”(万人计划)领军人才1人、“长江学者奖励计划”青年学者1人、科技部“中青年科技创新领军人才”1人、“龙江学者”特聘教授2人、“龙江学者”青年学者4人、全国优秀教师4人、全国模范教师1人、省级教学名师4人，享受国务院和省政府特殊津贴38人、“王震讲座教授”22人，建有1个黑龙江省杂粮绿色生产及食品深加工技术研发“头雁”团队、3个省级教学团队、6个省级领军人才梯队、21个农垦总局领军人才梯队、5个省高校科技创新团队。

The school is located in Daqing High-tech Industrial Development Zone, with a total area of 1,200,400㎡, a construction area of 400,000 ㎡, a total value of 1.259 billion yuan in fixed assets, 308 million yuan in teaching and scientific research equipment, and 2,132,200 books. At present, there are 1,397 teaching staff, including 884 full-time teachers, 178 professors and 285 associate professors. Among them, 346 teachers with doctoral degree, accounting for 39.1%; 126 teachers with more than one year of overseas experience, accounting for 14.3%. The school has 2 "double employed academicians" (academician Zhu Beiwei and academician Chen Wenfu), 1 leading talent of National Special Support Program" (10000 Talents Program), 1 "young scholar of Yangtze River Scholar Award Program", 1 "Young And Middle-Aged Scientific And Technological Innovation Leading Talent" of Ministry of Science and Technology, 2 "Longjiang Scholar" Distinguished Professor, 4"Longjiang Scholar" Young Scholars, 4 National Excellent Teachers, and 1 National Model Teacher, 4 Provincial Famous Teachers, 38 staff enjoying special subsidies from the State Council and provincial government, and 22 "Wang Zhen Lecture Professor". There are 1 "Head Goose" team for research and development of green production and food deep processing technology in Heilongjiang province, 3 Provincial Teaching Teams, 6 Provincial Leading Talent Echelons, 21 Leading Talent Echelons Of The General Administration Of Agricultural Reclamation, and 5 Provincial Scientific And Technological Innovation Teams.

学校建有11个本科学院以及马克思主义学院、体育教研部、继续教育学院等教学机构，学科专业涉及农学、工学、管理学、理学、法学、文学、经济学7个学科门类，学校建有3个博士后科研流动站及1个博士后科研工作站，拥有4个博士学位授权一级学科，9个硕士学位授权一级学科，6个硕士专业学位授权类别;建有50个本科专业，其中国家级特色专业3个、省级重点专业9个，国家级一流专业2个、省级一流专业8个。学校面向23个省(直辖市、自治区)招生，全日制在校本科生15000余人，各类在校研究生1600余人。建校以来，学校累计培养和输送毕业生13余万人，培训各类人员50余万人次。

The university has 11 undergraduate colleges and teaching institutions such as Marxism College, Physical Education and Research Department, Continuing Education College, etc. The disciplines and majors involve 7 disciplines, namely, agronomy, engineering, management, science, law, literature and economics. The university has 3 post doctoral research stations and 1 post doctoral research workstation, 4 doctoral degree authorization first-class disciplines, 9 master degree authorization first-class disciplines, 6 master degree authorization categories; 50 undergraduate majors, including 3 national characteristic majors, 9 provincial key majors, 2 national first-class majors and 8 provincial first-class majors. The university enrolls students from 23 provinces (municipalities and autonomous regions) with more than 15000 full-time undergraduate students and more than 1,600 graduate students of various types. Since its establishment, it has trained and delivered more than 130,000 graduates and trained more than 500,000 personnel of various types.

学校着力推进教学改革，人才培养质量不断提升。“十二五”以来，获批1个国家级专业综合改革试点项目，2个国家级卓越农林人才教育培养计划改革试点项目(涵盖7个专业)，1个国家新工科研究与实践项目，3个省级专业综合改革试点项目，5个省级卓越农业人才教育培养计划改革试点专业项目，2个省级新工科研究与实践项目，5个省级示范性虚拟仿真实验项目;获批国家级实验教学示范中心2个、国家级校外实践教育基地1个，省级实验教学示范中心5个、省级虚拟仿真实验教学示范中心1个、省级校外实践教育基地3个;建有省级精品视频公开课4门、省级精品在线开放课程7门、省级线上线下精品课程3门;主编农业部“十二五”规划教材15部。获批国家级大学生创新创业计划训练项目155项，省级361项，2020年获评黑龙江省深化创新创业教育改革示范校。毕业生就业率始终保持在省属高校前列，2015年度被评为“全国高校毕业生就业工作50强”。

As teaching reform be promoted with great efforts, the training quality is continuously improved. Since the 12th Five Year Plan, it has gained approval for 1 National Comprehensive Reform Pilot Project, 2 National Excellent Agricultural And Forestry Talent Education And Training Program Reform Pilot Project (covering seven majors), 1 National New Engineering Research And Practice Project, 3 Provincial Comprehensive Reform Pilot Projects, 5 Provincial Excellent Agricultural Talent Education and Training Program Reform Pilot Specialty Projects, and 2 Provincial New Industrial Research and Practice Projects, 5 Provincial Demonstration Virtual Simulation Experiment Projects; 2 National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Centers, 1 National off Campus Practice Education Base, 5 Provincial Experimental Teaching Demonstration Centers, 1 Provincial Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center, and 3 Provincial Off Campus Practical Education Bases; 4 Provincial Quality Open Video Courses and 7 Provincial Excellent Online Open Courses, and 3 Provincial Online And Offline Excellent Courses. and edited 15 teaching materials for the 12th Five Year Plan of the Ministry of Agriculture. It has gained approval for 155 National Undergraduate Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program Training Projects, 361 provincial level projects, and won the Heilongjiang Provincial Demonstration School of deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform in 2020. The employment rate of graduates has always been in the forefront. In 2015, it was rated as "the Top 50 Colleges Graduates Employment in China".

学校科研工作以应用研究和技术开发为主要方向，建有国家杂粮工程技术研究中心、新农村发展研究院，教育部粮食副产物加工与利用工程技术研究中心、农业农村部农产品及加工品质量监督检验测试中心(大庆)等21个国家、省部级科研平台，以及7个省高校重点实验室、工程技术研发中心。与地方政府合作共建“牡丹江食品与生物技术创新研究院”“大庆设施农业研究院”。“十三五”以来，学校获批国家级、省部级等各类课题246项，科研经费1.62亿元。建校以来，学校共取得科研成果1600余项，获得省部级以上奖励161项，以“大豆三垄栽培技术”“农作物种衣剂”为代表的一批重大科研成果在生产实践中得到有效转化，创造了巨大的经济效益和社会效益，先后3次获得“黑龙江省省长特别奖”，2次获得“黑龙江省大专院校和科研单位振兴经济奖”，8次获得黑龙江省科学技术奖一等奖。

The scientific research mainly focuses on application and technology development. It has 21 national, provincial and ministerial level research platforms, 7 provincial college key laboratory and technology R&D centers, including the National Coarse Grain Engineering Technology Research Center, the New Rural Development Research Institute, the Ministry of Education Grain by-product Processing And Utilization Engineering Technology Research Center, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs - Agricultural Products and Processed Product Quality Supervision and Testing Center (Daqing). By cooperating with local government, jointly built “Mudanjiang Food and Biotechnology Innovation Research Institute" and "Daqing Facility Agriculture Research Institute". Since the 13th Five Year Plan, 246 national, provincial and ministerial projects have been approved, and the scientific research funds are 162 million yuan. Since its establishment, the university has obtained more than 1600 scientific research achievements and 161 provincial and ministerial level awards. A number of major scientific research achievements represented by "Three Ridge Cultivation Technology of Soybean" and "Crop Seed Coating Agent" have been effectively transformed in production practice, creating huge economic and social benefits. It has won the "Special Award of Heilongjiang Provincial Governor" for three times, “Economy revitalization Award for Heilongjiang University, College and Research Unit” for twice, and Heilongjiang Science and Technology Award for eight times.

学校坚持开放办学，与美国、英国、加拿大、俄罗斯、法国、韩国、日本、印度、乌克兰、波兰等国家和地区近30所高校和科研院所开展交流与合作。目前，学校与俄罗斯符拉迪沃斯托克国立经济服务大学实施本科生中外合作办学项目，与韩国国立江陵原州大学、济州大学、日本山形大学、波兰波兹南生命科学大学、乌克兰哈尔科夫国立无线电电子大学、哈尔科夫国立城市规划大学等国外高校实施交换生、留学生等项目，与加拿大阿尔伯塔大学实施“中加合作食品研究发展中心”项目，与印度UAS大学实施中印杂粮工程技术研究中心项目。

The university adheres to running principle of openness, carrying out exchange and cooperation with nearly 30 universities and scientific research institutes in the United States, Britain, Canada, Russia, France, South Korea, Japan, India, Ukraine, Poland and other countries or regions. At present, the university has exchange projects as: Sino-foreign cooperation in education with Russia VVO State Economic Service University; exchange and oversea study projects with Korea National Gangneung Wonju University, Jeju University, Japan Yamagata University, Poland Poznan University of Life Science, Ukraine Kharkiv State Radio Electronics University, Kharkiv State Urban Planning University; Sino-Canada Food R&D Center with Canada Alberta University; Sino-India Multigrain Technology Research Center Project with India UAS University

学校始终把北大荒精神作为最可宝贵的精神财富，自觉将北大荒精神融入办学育人的全过程。学校现建有黑龙江省北大荒精神学术交流基地、黑龙江省学校思想政治理论课教师社会实践研修基地、北大荒精神与文化研究所、北大荒精神展示馆，充分发挥地缘、人才和科研资源优势，坚持把红色资源利用好、把红色传统发扬好、把红色基因传承好，产出了《淬荒集》、《月光下的土地》等一批较有影响力的文化成果，培养了一大批具有北大荒精神烙印的知农爱农新型人才。

At present, the university has established Heilongjiang Beidahuang Spirit Academic Exchange Base, Heilongjiang Province School Ideological and Political Theory Teachers Social Practice Training Base, Beidahuang Spirit and Culture Research Institute, and Beidahuang Spirit Exhibition Hall. It gives full play to the advantages of geography, talents and scientific research resources, persist in utilizing, spreading and inheriting the red resource, a number of influential cultural achievement as Quenching the Wildness and The Land under the Moon have been created, and a number of new-type agricultural talents with the Beidahuang Spirit have been cultivated.
